53 and counting By Charles Sollars

The 53 man roster has been announced and well I just don’t get it. We are keeping 4 qbs but letting Pollard go? This doesn’t make much sense to me. Tell one of the three other than Cassel to pack their bags and keep Pollard.
Yes, we will all agree that he sometimes goes for the big hit and misses but he is a good young player. We need a big hit guy because this defense has no hit. I don’t like this move at all. I think that we will see Pollard get picked up by the end of the day.
Now lets turn our attention to players that were released. Garcia and Feeley are now out there to be had and lets face it both are better than anyone we have that is healthy on our roster. Other moves I would hope to see is at least one tackle be picked up. The Pats released a guy so we will most likely pick him up but there are also several other serviceable tackles out there now that would be an improvement to our depth.
I am still wondering why Lelie was cut. I know he isn’t great but he looked better than the rest of the bums in the last preseason game. I thought it was worth a shot to let him stay a game or two but he is gone so we move on. I do think that Curry would be a good pick up from the waiver wire along with a trade of some kind for Branch.
